This is interesting indeed. Anyway, you say ps2pdf should solve the problem? I use precisely ps2pdf to generate the PDF. Anyway, this is a good excuse to take advantage of the portability of LyX... let's create the PDF under Linux! :-) Unfortunately, I suppose it would be simpler to deliver her a printed copy any time it's needed rather trying to ask her to install anything :-) The problem is that I have loads of images, I would prefer not to send all those things.
