Please try two things:
1. Put your document on the wb server somewhere and send her only an
URL - this will eliminate possible attachment corruption in e-mails.
2. Calculate md5 sum of your file and send her asking for calculation
md5 of her copy - if they are different, the e-mail system is guilty.
This requires md5 tools on both computers - google for that (In my
case Total Commander has that and almost every Linux distro has that).
