Dear Jess, We need now Lyx-wizards who better knows the interaction between aspell and Lyx. Have you tried to reinstall cocoaspell and reconfigure Lyx? Maybe there is a problem in your installation? I do not have any other idea about what is going wrong in your case. Sorry,
