Hi,
In general there are two places to determine citation engine and styles. They are:

1. Document > Settings > Bibliography
and
2. Insert > List / TOC > BibTeX Bibliography

In 1. you can select natbib engine with author/year. In 2. you can select a style---but here it gets tricky, since all styles are listed but not all of them are natbib-compatible and author/year-compatible. Best is to experiment or google for a style which you like.
