Ahh, it never occured to me. I always thought LyX only was used by
hackers that didn't really do anything with it other can break this,
and fix them again.

I think it should be extra packages. Most people will not be interested
in German translations.
I bet Lgb is ready to stash the packages into the contrib-directory,
and I'm reading to plug in a plug for it on the web-site.

I think this is up to you. If you think the translation is useful as it
