I made quite a bit of progress: 1. My Win XP is running LAPDOS under DOSBOX 2. I got a USB to RS232 working 3. Got a 9-pin to 25-pin adapter (straight thru)
but one last error message befuddles me. I get a "Drive not connected" message under the Portable Drive side of the screen. I've tried switching com ports, baud rates, and other settings. Any ideas? The one thing I might have to try is a null modem adapter, but I would have thought that the OEM LAPDOS Cable Converter/gender changer would have that covered.
