As counterpoint I'd say Rex is an excellent dev and hacking target because it
is widely owned in this community and it works well. You plug it in and never
unplug it. It lets you save ram images along with ROM support. And buying from
another community member supports future work.
It is a unique device since it has to fit in the option rom socket. So it has
to be low profile.
Leaving it to everyone to build themselves would be a mistake I think.
That's assuming Steve builds another batch soon. Which I'm sure we will find a
way to get these built.
