Anita,

I took my "Model T" on my last full Mediterranean cruise when I was in the Navy, late August 1986-March 1987. I powered it with one 6VDC lantern battery for the entire time. I mostly wrote small BASIC programs on it, to help pass the time after I got off shift, before bed. The great thing about it was the small size. I could easily stow it in my bunk locker (our beds, or "racks" were actually lockers. They were about eight or ten inches deep, and the lid (with your three inch thick mattress) would lift up, giving access to several divided compartments and a drawer).

After we got back, I wrote a small loan payment calculation program on it in BASIC, and took my Model T with me when my wife and I went to buy a new car. Really helped us nail exactly what we could (and could not) afford.

It was then, and still is, a classic little machine ;)

Hi everyone,

I've been here for a while now, reading. I'm just re-subscribing under a new
email address.

I got into computers in high school in the early 80s, and have been recently
taking a look back at the things I missed first time around, and came across
the M100. Bought one off eBay and have been trying to write a few programs.
Seems a classic little machine. I imagine it would have really been something
to have!

Great to have such a friendly, knowledgeable board too.

Cheers, Anita

Hello Model T'ers:

I've noticed several new subscriptions to the list lately.

Welcome all! We endeavor to be a friendly, mostly on-topic list dedicated to
the Model 100 and work a-likes.

When you get a chance please introduce yourselves. How did you come to the
hobby, how do you use your model T, and of course if you are having trouble
getting started please ask.

Cheers,

-- John.
