Would there be space for 3x 2/3 AAA cells wired in series for replacing the existing nicad?
The 3.6v battery inside is 15mm diameter and AAA cells are 10mm. But twice as long. Maybe just solder in some leads and then hot-glue the battery pack off to the side?
