Seems like a lot of work when you can buy that exact thing for a couple of bucks (or 3 or 4 of the original NiCds for a couple of bucks more).
Soldering leads on to battery cells is usually not a good idea... Your local dollar store probably has several different configurations of 3.6V cordless phone batteries (with wires and connectors already attached); did you see this picture? Double-sided tape instead of hot glue, and it connects to a pair of pins that replaced the original NiCd legs. ----- Original Message ----- From: user evers To: [email protected] Sent: Thursday, June 01, 2017 7:06 PM Subject: [M100] how about using (3) 2/3 AAA nicad cells for the internalbattery? Would there be space for 3x 2/3 AAA cells wired in series for replacing the existing nicad? The 3.6v battery inside is 15mm diameter and AAA cells are 10mm. But twice as long. Maybe just solder in some leads and then hot-glue the battery pack off to the side?
