Hi all,

I replaced the NiCd battery with a replacement NiCd rated as 3.6 V, 60 mAh.
It reads 3.8 V on my multimeter.

I reassembled the components to test it again, and when I switch the memory
power on the LCD immediately turns on without me pressing the power button.
I'm still getting vertical lines and there is no response when I try to
cold start.

I'm a bit stumped. I didn't have any solder spillage and the battery
polarity is correct. Any thoughts?
