Dave,
One easy way to put TS-DOS onto your machine is to use the TS-DOS MP3 file and
play the audio from your phone or PC into the Model 100/102.
TS-DOS for 100/102
>From BASIC, type the following.SOUND OFFCLEAR 0, 57089RUNM CAS:DOS100.CO
The press play on your PC or phone and your 102 will load TS-DOS. I keep
meaning to write a TS-DOS loader into mComm but I have not gotten around to it.

As to file transfer, there has been a fever going around on Facebook to use
VirtualT to transfer text files.
I think this is weird and there are better ways, but on further reflection,
it's probably as good as any ASCII file transfer with a terminal program. And
if you're going to spend time learning your way around a terminal program, why
not use the same one on both sides of the transfer?
Also for bigger, faster transfers with no "client" you can give TBACK.EXE a
shot, again with VirtualT. This will back up your whole system to a PC in about
8 seconds. You can use the resulting a file as the .BIN RAM image on VirtualT.
You can go the other way too... get a program and files loaded into VirtualT
and use TBACK.EXE to restore the image to your Model T.
To use TBACK.EXE you need a "full null" cable since it uses hardware flow
control.
Probably deserves a Howto, but I haven't written one yet.
This is also a archive mechanism of sorts.
Of course the best way to file transfer is TS-DOS on REX or regular OptROM to a
TPDD server on a PC or Android device. LaddieAlpha.exe for any Windows, OSX or
Linux, or MComm for Windows, or Mcomm for Android.
TBACK.EXE and LaddieAlpha can be found via search at bitchin100.com/wiki
mcomm variants can be found in Kurt's Club100 personal directory
http://club100.org/memfiles/index.php?&direction=0&order=&directory=Kurt%20McCullum
I understand mcomm will also walk you through easy text file transfers.

Hello group, Sorry for what might be stupid questions but recognize the source

buying them I am intrigued by other things these “T”s might be able to do. I
have read about a chip that goes in the ROM socket called REX. Is this still
made? What are the main advantages? I have had someone recommend that I get
TR-DOS but I don’t know how to get it from a PC into the T. I have
purchased/made null modem cables that should connect the PC and the T but what
is next?2. I have found a source to 8K memory chips to bring them up to
32K each so that part or the new acquisitions will be fixed.3. Since the
NADSBox is no longer available how do people move files around between PCs and
Ts or between two Ts?4. With AA batteries so cheap, do people use the AC
power adaptor? Thanks for your consideration. Maybe someday I might be able to
help others out too. Dave – KD7UM
