Wow, FB users use model Ts? (I don't use FB so I'm pretty much oblivious to
what happens there, sorry)
So, how are they doing this? Using TELCOM in VirtualT, mapping that to a
physical COM port on the PC, and plugging that into the real T where they're
running TELCOM again? Yeah, that would be weird. It sounds like the sort of
thing someone would cook up when they don't entirely understand how things
really work...

I haven't been lucky enough to find a TS-DOS ROM for sale yet, and of course
I'm still waiting to find out who I have to kill to get a REX module :) so
neither of those are much help for us newbies.
I was lucky enough to get a floppy drive, utility disk, and TS-DOS disk for not
too much money, and after fixing the drive that was a good way to start myself
down the path of using TPDD servers.
Kurt pointed out a good way to bootstrap TS-DOS from the mp3 of the cassette
version, but I'm thinking it might actually be a better plan to bootstrap
TSLOAD.CO instead of DOS100.CO if you're going to use it with mComm, since
mComm automatically serves up DOS100.CO and then you don't have to have it
resident all the time...

Good point, which I forgot to mention - Dave, if you're keeping up with all of
this, even if you don't have TS-DOS yet you can use TELCOM to talk to the
Windows version of mComm and get a fairly nice file browser interface which
makes transferring text files pretty smooth.
