Group order from whom? Steven has published the files and info needed to make them yourself. I have proven that nothing was missing by doing it and making a few, and writing up the steps, parts, and tools, and filling in some details into a more explicit recipe that more people should be able to follow, and put that on a wiki so that anyone else can improve the recipe even further.
If you want to buy a rex, instead of build one for yourself, first you have to find someone who wants to build them for you. They need to be able to follow this: http://tandy.wiki/REX I was thinking of possibly trying to do a little workshop at Tandy Assembly to guide people through building a rex or figtronix for themselves, but I only asked on the facebook group a couple weeks ago and not enough people responded, and now time is short. So I did order the parts to make 3 rex's and maybe I'll build those or see if anyone else wants to build them at TA. I'm going away on vacation tomorrow and will be back just a couple days before TA so there's really no time to prepare much. I should have committed to the idea earlier and mentioned it here earlier. Building a rex was probably never sane in those conditions anyway. I know that it's physically possible to do in a few hours, but that's when you're already comfortable with all the operations, from soldering to dealing with pain in the ass xilinx flashing softwae etc. But figtrinix is dead simple so I thought maybe we could do those too or instead. Also John H had a good idea that it would be valuable just to help people install replacement motherboard batteries. So I ordered a few of those too, but I don't know if they'll come in in time. But since I didn't start talking about any of this until just now, who knows how many M100's will even be at TA.
