Okay, good to know.  I'm pretty sure the one I used is very old, so it's just a 
question for me of whether I should upgrade it to release 162 or release 236.

I'm inclined to go with 236 because the Release 4.9 wiki page says 'Revision 
236 primarily delivers QUAD support for M100, but also includes bugfixes for 
T200 and NEC machines', and I'm planning to build a QUAD module as well as a 
REX for my T200.

However, on the main REX wiki page Stephen says 'latest release is 4.9 revision 
236; it is quite buggy. I need to fix some things so I would not use this 
load'.  Maybe I'm overthinking this but I'm stuck now - I don't know whether 
the 162 bugs that 236 fixes will be worse than the new bugs in 236...

It's encouraging to hear that you haven't run into any problems with 236 yet.
