Apparently I'm just not liked by any Tandy disk drives... After fun with
the DVI, also got the portable 3.5" drive. The belt was melted into goo, so
I just got the replacement belt today. Changed it out, put it all back
together, unfortunately the drive still doesn't work.

It won't recognize any original disk (I got a box of disks with it), and
when trying to format a new disk (double density!), it goes through the
motions, I can see the head step through all tracks, then it ends and say
communication's error...

Is there anything else that commonly fails on these? Anything else I should
check?
