Apparently I'm just not liked by any Tandy disk drives... After fun with the DVI, also got the portable 3.5" drive. The belt was melted into goo, so I just got the replacement belt today. Changed it out, put it all back together, unfortunately the drive still doesn't work.
It won't recognize any original disk (I got a box of disks with it), and when trying to format a new disk (double density!), it goes through the motions, I can see the head step through all tracks, then it ends and say communication's error... Is there anything else that commonly fails on these? Anything else I should check? Chris
