Have you measured the power supply rails to see if you are losing one?

Happens with both. First time using the adapter and after that I changed to
batteries. Same behaviour.

Is this using the power adapter or using AA batteries?

Hi

I have a Model 100 that works perfectly for 2 - 5 minutes then makes a small
crackling sound (speaker) then seems to just power off. When I try to restart
it (power on/off switch) it does not work. When I try it the next day it works
again for some time before it powers off.

I have removed the internal battery and changed all caps on the right hand side
of the motherboard (as I believe I read somewhere that these where the power
side of things). But the behavior is exactly the same. Still have a few caps on
the left hand side that I haven't changed but I'm starting to loose faith in my
capacitor theory.

Any ideas would be appreciated. If anyone has experienced the same and know the
fix that would be even better :)
