Hello Edmund:

I am going to tackle your second question first.
To get mobile accessibility, to read out side of m.a. first get some sighted assistance, and then do the following. In m.a. go to apps, then phone settings, arrow down until you hear accessibility, and there you would have to place a check on accessibility, and mobile accessibility. Once both of those are checked m.a. should have no problem reading outside of its suite of 10 apps.

Now your second question. You want to get m.a. to read out the characters that you’re deleting. Once you are on the m.a. home screen, arrow down until you get to settings… hit enter on settings, and arrow down until you hear text input, from there you can place a check on speak deleted characters.
You should be good to go from there.
I hope you found this helpful.
Good luck.

make sure both android, and the mobile accessibility keyboards are checked.
this way you are able to use both, with in, and out side of the m.a. app.
I hope you find this helpful.
good luck.

I've changed Keyboard to MA and I can't seem to use the keyboard
outside of MA suite of apps either. Pressing volume up just increases
the volume and holding the volume down key just decreases the volume.

Hi Brad,

The easiest way to do this and no sighted assistance is needed is to go
to apps, settings, language and keyboard, arrow down to mobile
accessibility and place a check mark on

it. Then arrow back up to input method and hit enter or select, arrow
down to mobile accessibility and hit enter. Now you can back out of all that and go to any app outside ma with an edit field, long pressing the up volume key now launches the onscreen keyboard, you will need to have
your physical keyboard closed to use this and with the onscreen or
virtual keyboard open, holding the down volume key while you speak,
after a double vibrate is felt, say something and let go. to turn off
the virtual keyboard, long press the up volume key again.

Good luck.

able to do.

get some sighted assistance, before doing the following.

go to apps, settings, then arrow down until you hear, accessibility,
hit enter, and then place a check on accessibility, and mobile
accessibility. once both of them are checked

that would able you to use m.a. outside of the home page apps.

good luck.

Hey guys, just wondering whether anyone could tell me how to set MA up
so that i can use the speech recognition and virtual keyboard outside
of the mobile accessability applications, for example on youtube and
facebook and things like that. If someone could get back to me
quickly, it would be greatly appreciated.
