I would like you to try one more thing.
On your m.a. home screen, go down to settings, then click on screen reader, hit enter on that, then place a check on, speak system notifications, and that should read out your caller ID.
Good luck

Thank you for your reply. I tried right now hitting the enter key and the
tabbing. Unfortunately, both functions failed to talk the caller id. Do
you know any talking id application to search for?

Thank you

try tapping the screen about 2 or 3 times, and that should work.
if you have a quwerty keyboard, you can hit the enter button, and it would
read out the caller ID, if you keep hiting enter it would repete the
caller's ID.
in adition, you can download any free talking caller ID apps, and see if
that would work for you.
good luck.

Thank you. I can not get the phone to speak the caller id. The user guide
says iff I tab twice on the screen, I should hear the caller id. However,
it does not work for me. Any idea?

Thank you

Again, there is an app in the android market for this. It's called k9 mail I
think.
