I set upt a hot ket for K 9 mail, but it does not work. K 9 does not talk either. Could it be the HTC phone/ It is Android version 2.3. Thank you

Go to Aps, Settings, Applications. Most phones should have a Quicklaunch so that you can assign a hot key to access certain aps. I do this with Navigation, K9 Mail, and Cardio Trainer.
