Hi Dan,
Yes, this is set. Thanks, -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of [email protected] Sent: Wednesday, January 18, 2012 9:43 AM To: Mobile Accessibility Android Users List Subject: Re: [MA] powering off phone You can tell very easily if this is set if you can access any phone application outside of the MA ones, and the phone talks. As an example, if you start the market app from the APPS list, does the phone talk? If so then MA should certainly read the power list (long press of power button). if it doesn't talk in the market app, then you need to enable the MA screenreader functionality. This will probably require sighted help. beginning at the MA main (home) screen: 1. select Apps from the MA main screen 2. select Settings from the app list. at this point you will be outside of MA. 3. select Accessibility from the list of settings. 4. make sure "Mobile Accessibility" is checked in the accessibility options. Caution: DO NOT uncheck the option simply called "accessibility", leave it checked or you will lose all speech everywhere! 5. Close settings and return to the MA home page. Now try a long press of the power button. By long press, I mean press the power button for at least a second or two.
