    Yeah, that's what I ended up having to do.  I just have it set up to
give me my messages automatically from the phone so that I don't have to use
the pound key everytime I log in but for changing features or messages I've
just had to do it that way.  Thanks for the help anyway.

If worst comes to worst, you can shut off your phone, then call it from a
land line.  As soon as your voice mail answers, hit the star "*" key on the
phone, and this would put you in voice mail.  You'll have to know your voice
mail password, so this won't help if you don't know what it is.

I just tested on my phone, and unfortunately, I was wrong about alt+3
generating the pound tone.  It types the right symbol in edit boxes, so I'm
as puzzled as everybody else.  The manual for the phone is no help, as it
assumes you have sight, and says tap this, or tap that.  I guess I lucked
out in that I had set up my voice mail on my old Nokia E70 phone which had
only physical buttons.  Oh, for the good old days!
