The best I can suggest here is, if you can, go to your local sprint store and play with one, if they have one and compare it for yourself. Touch to explore depends on third party apps, including Google's to implement. As far as access world, when was the article released and also what version was evaluated? Many improvements were made in Jelly Bean including implementing touch to explore automatically in all apps taking advantage of the standard interface. If customized, they once again need to implement. This was done as a result of having to rewrite apps to take advantage of touch to explore in ICS, which many developers, including Google itself didn't always implement. I would suggest the same for those using AT&T or Verizon. In addition, play around with the iphones, 4, 4s, and if possible the 5. In this way, you can find your best fit.

Access World has a very negative review of the Nexis and Android operating system -- there are problems operating the touch to explore feature with consistency. I wouldn't mind learning how to use a touch-screen only phone but I would expect the accessibility to be the same as it is on the IPhone.

To answer your questions. There is a version of the GNex that works on
AT&T. I don't know if they carry directly or if you have to buy it
through google, but a GSM version is available. It is strictly a touch
screen phone, but since it runs on Jelly Bean, the need for a slide-out
keyboard isn't as much needed. You might desire on though and if that
is the case, the option there is to get a bluetooth keyboard to pair
with it.

I may be wrong here, but does AT&T have a version of the Galaxy Nexus? My understanding is that it is touch screen only, with no physical keyboard. Is this also correct?
