I've been saying for quite some time that the operations of Pages are clunky compared to that of Nisus, I've been using Nisus products for the last 5 years, I started with Nisus Writer Express and then upgraded to Nisus Writer Pro.
Nisus shouldn't have any major problems with the newest Microsoft Word format unless you're using borders and shading, has some difficulty then if the review on the software is correct. Its quite possible however that these problems may have been fixed by now. My main gripe with Pages has always been how difficult it seems to be to get anything easy done, perhaps I'm missing something but if I am? Well no one's alerted me to what I'm missing on list and again I'll repeat my example. If I want to create a numbered or bulleted list in Nisus I just select the text I want to work with or select the numbered list function I want and the task is done however with Pages? Well the menu options or options in the toolbar always seem to be greyed out. If I recall correctly a list member posted a procedure to create numbered lists in Pages which involved creating the list in Text edit and pasting into Pages? Can't see why that wouldn't work of course but I don't really think the idea practical, pain in the neck might be a better description <smile>.
