ester, gordon, Zack, and all

This quest for a backup solution has been much more difficult then I
anticipated. I just wanted either Carbon Copy Cloner to take care of
everything or find something on the Mac side to do the equivalent. Esther's
post clarified many things for me. Even though I had all ready read the CCC
notes indicating I would need another solution, I hoped that win clone or
something might fill the need on the Mac side. I looked into the resources
Esther listed and as they seemed to range in cost from about $30.00 to $60.00
US I began to really think the investment in VM Fusion might be the way to go.
this way CCC can back up my system at a time when all is working well. For the
extra cost I also get additional advantages available from VM Fusion. I did
put a few feelers out on the Windows side of things and found nothing even
close to the convenient and accessible solutions available on the Mac.

So Unless I hear anything different in the near future I'll next be reviewing
all my saved messages from this list on VM Fusion then probably asking you
successful VM Fusion users for guidance. All the messages about lost sound and
trouble loading in VM Tools and such have me a bit apprehensive.

Thanks to all of you for this tremendous amount of information and support.
