Hello Courtney: I don't believe you can choose what get restored.
Basically the TimeMachine restores Applications ETC but not system files. One more thing I thought of, you'll have to upgrade iTunes and Safarie. Also you'll have to authorize the computer for iTunes. Good luck and sounds like you'll do fine.
