Hello Donal

In the case of your keyboard clicks, can't you turn them off by changing the
typing mode to touch type? Or is it from Touch type? You know what I mean; the
mode where you slide your finger along and when you lift it, it automatically
adds the character. From memory; and please correct me if I am wrong, but I
don't think you get those clicks then.

Personally I don't much care for the clicks either; but i can see why some
might like them and why Apple sees them as a "Must-have" It must be difficult
for somebody who is blind and new to the OS to know when they have moved their
finger sufficiently.

I'm not blind and that's why I haven't voiced my opinion on this until now. I
can totally understand why a visually impaired person might like these.

I know that Gordon finds them irritating when trying to create a text message.

Hello all,

OK I may have missed something, but I'm slightly disappointed by the fact that
the clicks, beeps and pings Apple assumes every blind user wants to here are
still a part of the IOS experience. I personally hate, for example, the click
when I move my finger across the keyboard. (one can turn off keyboard sounds
in the sounds section but not the VO ones). I love, for example, to keep my
phone on mute because then I can just hear the speech and none of this
extraneous cr*p apple assumes I want to hear.

I appreciate I'm probably in a minority here, but surely it can't be difficult
to give the user some control over what they want to hear?
