Hi Courtney, I'm no DB expert, but I would think not.
Typically, the installation puts the folder in your Home folder. If you had chosen the "Advanced" setup, you could have specified where the folder was to go. I think moving it manually would break the link. Why don't you try running the installer on your external drive?
