Lynne: Thanks for the reply and I am able to drag and drop as well using the iMac early 2008 however a friend of mine has an early MacBook Pro 13inch and she gets the message failed to drop and mentions the destination.
Both Windows are visible so the only thing I can think of it could be hardware related because my work computer which is a MacBook 2007 I get the same thing.
