Strange statement <smile>, my audio system for my iPhone/Ipod/Ipad cost me the
same to buy regardless of which IOS device I use, its a universal audio system
you see <smile>.

The JBL Onbeat Air I have not only comes with adapters for iPod, iPhone and
iPad but it can also be used as an "Apple Airplay" speaker thus any IOS device
can stream to it via a wi-fi network.

There are other devices around such as Bluetooth speaker systems which will
work just as well on an iPad as they do on an iPod and many of these can be
bought for under £20.00, the surprise here is that most these days produce very
reasonable quality audio.
