I think what is being asked to how to remove entries in the list. I have this problem also as nisus Writer Pro has inserted itself into every open with dialogue box, even media files for some reason. So I used to use for example switch media converter from the open with dialogue but the various Nisus pro options have now crowded out the possibility of having Switch as an open with option. As I never use media files with Nisus Writer Pro I need to get rid of those entries in order to allow the space for Switch to reappear as an option. Clearly though making Switch the default program would not be appropriate here. to set your default action hit cmd I on the file then go to open with and then in the pop up button choose your program then go to change all. This is the easiest way of opening files with a default program that I can think of.. I'll let someone lee handle your other question as I'm just a bit confused this morning.
