I see words like "buy" and "30-day free" when looking up
VMWare Fusion so that is not exactly free. I was looking for
free as in just go out and get it and no money changes hands. I
have an old Dell server with nice noisy fans and a pretty good heat
output that I run a 32-bit version of FreeBSD on for testing C
code that I write plus email applications and someone in my
department suggested that I could run that as a virtual machine
on the Mac that I also have in here and that sounded like a
great idea. The Dell server is a cast-off, though, and the
FreeBSD is, well, free, so spending money to buy free doesn't
make a lot of sense at least not to me.
Virtualbox is free for the Mac but it appears to be no
good with voiceover.
