Once you have selected the track or region that you want to edit, go to track info. Press the edit button at the top of the section. Then arrow down and there are pop up buttons that you can change your automation curves, and add reverb or echo, or what ever what you desire. This is how I change all those track settings and effects, it seems to work very well.
