That's true, have you emailed Apple to see if they would be able to make these 
features accessible. I don't think that it is possible to change the tempo of 
the song on the fly even with sight, I think that this just isn't a feature of 
Garageband,There is some work arounds, but it takes up way to much time and 
effort. Anyway..
