Ann,
If you have a cable to connect from your Windows or Mac, simply
connect it to your iPad, or if both computers have Bluetooth
capability, pair up the iPad with the computer from which you will
transfer files from. You'll have to import the files from your CD and
then transfer them to the iPad. Bluetooth should work for this; if, h
owever, it doesn't, perhaps somebody on the list can assist you on how
to get the two machines to better communicate the transferring. HTH.

My client has a CD of instructional files she would like to listen
to on her iPad. I have a windows machine and a Mac. How can I make
these files availabel to her? I haven't seen them yet. I know I
can convert them to .mp3 on the Windows machine, but how then to get
them to the iPad? Would the Mac be a better agent for transfer?
Thanks for the help.

Phil covered selecting columns and rows comprehensively. As for
VoiceOver still announcing hidden columns, this is only if you use
the VO keys to navigate. If you just navigate using the arrow keys
alone, as is generally the better option, then VoiceOver will only
announce the visible rows and columns. This is the same when you
filter your tables: navigating with VO keys will not appear any
different, but if you navigate with the arrow keys alone you'll
only see the filtered rows and columns. Using VO keys to navigate
can get you into mischief as the VoiceOver cursor selects invisible
cells, but the keyboard cursor does not, and this can lead to
undesired results.
