Nancy, do you still have the manual for your computer? If you do, refer to Appendix B where the installation procedure for a PCI card is. It is really not hard (2 screws, pull-out motherboard) and the manual is very clear with lots of pictures. All you need is a screwdriver. If you don't want to try it, any handy person could. I would suggest someone you know who can work on a PC; show him/her the manual and watch as they become amazed at "how easy it is".
If you don't have the manual, it is available for download (pdf file, requires free Adobe Acrobat reader) from Apple. Go to Apple's site and search under Support for the Power Macintosh 6500 Series manual, Apple part # 030-9721. Even if you don't want to do this yourself, you should download this manual anyway if you don't have the one that came with your computer.
