When you do want to mess with them, you can use FileBuddy to make 
them visible, assign a label color to them and then always be aware 
that they are there.

Meanwhile, one invisible file that is popping up in numerous places 
is one called .DS_Shop --- multiple occurrences of this one, even in 
folders I'm burning to CD. Any clues?
