Hi, Hopefully someone can provide some directon. Problem 1: I have an old 7200/120 Power Mac and a new iMac 600. I have a lot of old files on the 7200 that I want to access and still be able to use the computer itself. I set up a network (using cable) with an SMC Barricade router, but the old Mac is so slow the pages on the internet and my email won't finish loading. I thought that maybe if it's upgraded with a cheap 7300 motherboard (I don't want to get into processor upgrade cards because they are too expensive) and new ehternet card it might help. Any suggestions?
Problem 2: Although I have the network set up, I can't access one computer from the other. I'm running OS X on the new machine and OS 8.1 on the older one. Do you think this might be causing the problem? I would appreciate any guidance. Thanks, Claudio -- Mac Canada is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
