I knew this would open a can of worms :-/

By the way folks, I should not have used the terms "boat anchor", or any
other term to suggest that a computer suffers from severe damage. From what
I read at Apple's help site, it can be a pain in the butt, however, to right
yourself back up and get the CD out and your computer working. Some worst
case scenarios, at least as reported to that digital media rights website,
did result in some "data loss" (sic)

Also, if you require a service technician to extract the desk, it'll be out
of your pocket; not Apple's warranty.
