Hi All,
I also applaud the usps-canada post tandem for generally the same
reasons that had been post here.
I also positively detest the other tandem ups-fedex but for one more reason:
I live in a remote area of Qc where they (ups-fedex) do not deliver.
So when I cannot have the US part to ship by USPS, ups-fedex bring
the parcel to Montreal, then they enter in braindead mode, wait one
week or so, then transfer the parcel to canada post for final
delivery from Mtl to my place.
AARRRGGGHHHH!
Sorry.
But it has been nice to be able to tell it to someone:-)

Hope my FrenchGlish is...well, palatable?

I live in Montreal, and it's barely better. At work, we hate getting UPS deliveries, the driver who has the run in our area ends up delivering the stuff two, sometimes three days late. Then, when we deal with Purolator, if it's a big order and we get the "scrawny guy" on the shift as a driver, we can win our bets that it won't be delivered on the day it arrives in the City (2nd floor, no elevator). Last night took the cake, though. Not only did they deliver our repair parts after hours (7 p.m.), but they dropped it at the wrong address, too. Good thing we know the neighbouring shops.

I have received stuff faster - and on time - from, of all things, the US Postal Service. As for home deliveries, well, they don't even bother ringing the door at my building. I always find the card in the mailbox. Even when I stay home because I expect the shipment.

Still some kinks in the shipping process. Hope you're not too deep (I hear horror stories with regards to remote Estrie locations or Abitibi-Tmiscamingue).
