One last point of clarification here: What is covered in FedEx air is the brokerage fees (similar to the $5 fee charged by Canada Post, but of course, much higher from UPS or FedEx), not taxes and duties (where applicable, which is rare these days, I think). You will still have to pay GST/HST (not PST, though) and any other costs assessed by Canada Customs, no matter what the carrier.
