Good Stuff, Bree!
Our was exceptionally filthy. (prolly should go back in and blow again) And you're right about the thingy. (tho' I've named mine the m******f******thingy) The only other problem we've had is the the power-button-sticking syndrome which seems to be solved by reaming the hole a little.

The biggest pain in the ass was actually getting the metal cage-y thing back into position. Everything else was surprisingly easy. Aside from the metal cage-thingy, the only other irritating trial was lining up the thing to slip back into casing so that the screws wouldn't catch.

Oh... while you're in there, you might want to consider dusting out as much as you can with aerosol... ah... air (?). I did and Limey coughed out 5-years' worth of a whole herd of dust bunnies. I'm sure Limey'll run cooler now, too.
