Yeah, is there any reason in the world why you have to shut down at
night? Setting any recent Mac into sleep mode is very low power.
If you really must shutdown I suggest taking a screenshot with the
cursor over the selected location.
Why are you transcribing it all? Is there some reason you cannot
copy and paste it?

Perhaps you could copy some of the content at the point you leave
off, save that in a text document and when you restart, copy that
text and paste it into the browser search field.
