file has nothing to do with it - the DVD player will convert the digital
file to the proper TV format.
That's false. There are NTSC and PAL DVD-Video discs. DVD-Video discs do
not contain some magic third format that is automatically converted. I'm
sure you'll dispute this, but that would be like disputing the statement
"Mac and Windows machines run the same operating system."
The U.K. Swiss recipients will need a multistandard player, as most are
over there.
