<ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/softlib/software2/COL1670/ja-7489-2/hpjsi_en.exe> Try this, it's the HP Install Network Printer Wizard for Windows 98 through XP. (95 has to use an older version.) <http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/Document.jsp?objectID=bpj07382&locale=en_US> This is an overview of the software. Show it to whomever is in charge of your network to see if it will work for your setup. I have a LaserJet 4 with PostScript 2 which has an internal Ethernet JetDirect printserver card and a LaserJet IIID with PostScript 1 and an external Ethernet JetDirect EX Plus printserver. Both are using TCP/IP with fixed addresses. If the printers are connected to the network instead of being connected to a Mac then shared from that Mac, then it should be fairly simple to connect a PC, setup the networking and printer and print without the Macs even "knowing" anything is going on. I don't know if the HP wizard wil work with hardware printservers that are _not_ made by HP, but many of them are "JetDirect Compatable". ===== "When you are wrestling for possession of a sword, the man with the handle always wins."
