How exactly are you getting PearPC to work?
I've tried it several times with WinXP and an AMD Sempron 2200. I can get the initial gray screen with the Apple Logo on it, but if you press a key or move the mouse, I get an event timeout message.
If I ever get it to work, it will be tempting to see if it's any faster than my Beige G3/333.

I found a .exe to do sound - very slow. Possibly works better under linux *possibily* no guarantee the way sound under linux works. Still to really work on it but its low on the list.
SMB from other machines works well, use the hosts real address as the emulated one will not work.
Appletalk has been interesting, I can access other appletalk servers but they can't access Pearpc, it doesn't fail outright so my firewall may need a tickle.
I've run iphoto and imovie with good speed, disk 2 and 3 have been installed - making iso's of everthing is a pain atleast access is much faster once its done. No speed loss.
800x600 is very smooth, I'm using 1024x768x32, works well once the window has been filled, you can see the video card working above 800x600.
OS9 is still to be tested, so far so good. :) I'm not sure whether to thank or curse you for this Mike. :)
