Hi John

All my overseas purchases have gone pretty much without a hitch, these include:

G4 400MHz 2MB from Met@Box
E100 from http://www.smalldog.com/
RAM from http://www.memoryx.net/ (yahoo store)

The only minor problem was the Smalldog order, the ordering system
charged me 12 dollars too much postage but an e-mail to Dawn got a
refund back on my Visa debit card straight away.

I was able to track my items via the courier websites once despatched
and VAT gets billed separately on the way into the UK, 17.5% plus a
brokerage fee applied by the courier (usually 5 to 10 pounds)

I notice the Velocity Upgrades price is now just 29.99 dollars for
128MB DIMMs and there is a United Kingdom option on the ordering page?

I buy stuff online all the time, UK, Europe and USA - no worries. :-)

Hey, I've got several spare floppy cables from PCs in my Big Bag of
Bits that might fit if cut down. Just send me the address to post to
and one can be yours (Ed). You'd probably have to ease off one
connector and move it closer to the second on the cable, but it
should work. :-)

>Does any one know where I can get a PC to MAC monitor adapter
>or the information on how to wire one up? Ive just taken a Voodoo 3 PC card

http://www.maplin.co.uk

KV99H Mac - VGA Changer, 6 switches - 9.99
KW67X Mac - VGA Changer, 10 switches - 12.99

Some new monitors come with them in the box.

Regards
Neil
