I have recently been given a Performa 630 DOS Compatible machine running OS 8.5.
I have switched it off by the keyboard, by the Special menu and by AppleScript. Five minutes later it has switched itself on again. I have looked through the software to see if there is anything there but I can't see anything. I have taken to removing the power cable. It is so infuriating. Is there a fault? Have I missed something. It also has an intermittent sound which is a bit like roaring waves approaching. Any ideas?
