Hi

I tried Nick's idea of blasting through loads of ink but could still get none through 
despite printing many pages. The manual's tip for unclogging nozzles was also no help.

By the contact area, do you mean the dotted area that fits into the slot on the 
cartridge? (Yes, I don't know much about how printers work.) What should a clean it 
with? This is an old and, I guess, well-used printer. Could use have worn away the 
contacts so they don't touch properly?
