The eMac not only has the bigger screen it is a G4 not
a G3 - it will run OSX and iMovie, iTunes etc faster
due to what Apple call 'Velocity Engine' on the G4 the
G3 doesn't have that and so would run the same app's
slower even at the same processor speed (eg 600mhz)

A G4 is newer technology and would be more 'future
proof' than a G3.
